Perry C. Morris is a historian in Urbana-Champaign Illinois specializing in the history of the local theatres.
Perry is an emeritus member of the Board of Directors of the Orpheum Children’s Science Museum housed in the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Champaign. The Orpheum was built in 1914 as a Vaudeville and moving picture theatre.
Perry is also on the Board of the Art Film Foundation. The AFF operates the Art Theater, also in downtown Champaign. The Art Theater was built in 1913 as the Park Theatre and has been in continuous (well almost) operations ever since.
Perry serves on the Board of Trustees of the Champaign County History Museum in the historic Cattle Bank.
Perry is interested in genealogy and serves as President of the Champaign County Genealogical Society.
